Assistance with understanding autism and the effect it has on learning and development.
Our staff is skilled in adjusting the curriculum to meet the needs of autistic students to cope in a busy classroom.

Assistance with the development of a predictable and well-planned learning environment.
Assistance with behaviour support

OUR VISITING TEACHERS ARE ABLE TO:

Make observation visits to your school following an initial approach to Wantirna Heights School.
Discuss observations and management strategies with staff involved.
Provide opportunities for school staff to increase their understanding of autism.
Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of specific programs.
Participate as a consultant to the Program Support Group.
Liaise with other professionals to develop a team approach.
Provide a resource base at Wantirna Heights School.
